Why people come

What brings you here?

The people who come to me usually arrive with something concrete: a relationship that has become hard work, anxiety that will not settle, a breakup or a bereavement, an infidelity, self-esteem that has taken a hit, the feeling of not knowing where their life is going, or difficulty setting boundaries. The first task is to name it precisely.

  • My relationship has turned into one long argument.
  • The anxiety will not leave me alone.
  • I cannot get over a breakup.
  • I found out about an affair and do not know whether to stay.
  • I find it hard to see my own worth.
  • I do not know what to do with my life.
  • I find it hard to say no.
  • I have a big decision to make and no sense of direction.

Two ways of working

Individual or couples therapy?

Both are online, in English or Spanish, and last one hour. In individual therapy we work on what brings you: anxiety, a breakup, grief, self-esteem, the direction of your life. In couples therapy we work with both of you on what has become hard to talk about: communication, infidelity, boundaries, decisions.

How it works

How do I begin?

You begin in the app, not by sending a message and waiting for a reply. Create your account and complete the intake form; choose individual or couples therapy and purchase your session; then book your appointment. The app shows availability in your local time. Sessions last one hour, and changes are made at least 24 hours in advance.

  1. Create your account

A few questions about you and what brings you here, so the first session starts with context rather than paperwork.

  2. Purchase a session

Choose individual or couples therapy and pay for your session. The price appears in the app before you confirm.

  3. Book your appointment

Pick a time from the availability the app shows in your local time. Sessions last one hour. If you need to change it, you can do so up to 24 hours in advance.

How it works, step by step

The approach

How do I work?

I work from a person-centred approach and from logotherapy. The first puts the therapeutic relationship at the centre: a safe space where you can show yourself as you are. The second puts meaning at the centre: where you want your life to go, and which decisions bring you closer to that. I listen, and I also challenge you.

The person-centred approach starts from a simple idea: the person who knows your life best is you. My work is to create the conditions in which you can look at it honestly, without judgement and without hurry. Ten years of practice have taught me that a warm, safe relationship between client and therapist is the ground everything else is built on.

Logotherapy, developed by Viktor Frankl, works with the question of meaning: what genuinely matters to you, which goals you want your decisions to point toward, and what is getting in the way. In session that becomes concrete. Listening alone is not enough: I also challenge you to develop tools and to make decisions that are coherent with what you want, and we face each challenge as a team.

I chose to devote my professional life to psychology because, for as long as I can remember, I have had an immense curiosity about understanding the people around me, and myself. That curiosity naturally led me to develop the skills that today allow me to build a deeply warm therapeutic relationship: a safe space between client and therapist, out of which the transforming moments that mark the progress of therapy emerge.

Languages and time zones

Where can I have sessions from?

From anywhere with a stable connection. I work in English and Spanish with people living in Australia, Colombia, the United States, Canada, Germany, Spain, China and Uruguay. You do not need to calculate time differences: when you book, the app shows availability in your local time. Sessions are by video call.

Find a time that works for you

Which times are available?

These are the times available over the next two weeks, already in your local time: your browser supplies the zone, and you are never asked for your location. Choose individual or couples therapy and select a time; from there you create your account and book in the app.

Articles

What can I read before I begin?

I write about what people most often come with: breakups and grief, infidelity, fear of abandonment, self-esteem, boundaries and existential crisis. Each article answers the questions people actually type into a search engine, cites primary sources and carries a review date. Reading is no substitute for a session, but it helps you arrive with clearer questions.
